Crabs and worms have moved back into the area due to the shelter provided by the bamboo. In less than 12 months over 10cm of sediment has been captured and the site can now be walked around without sinking into the mud. This sediment capture is restoring the area to its original tidal height that will allow for successful mangrove growth.
